Weekly Market Activity For Blaine Real Estate

Here are some key number for Blaine Real Estate last week: 

New Listings - There were 7 new listings last week, bringing the total number of listings to 64. 

Pending Sales - There were 10 new listings under contract last week, bringing the total number of Pending Sales to 116. 

Closed Sales  - Last week saw 14 closed transactions, bringing the year to date number of closed sales to 1333.  Versus 1263 this time last year. 

What It Means

The Real Estate Market in Blaine, and in the Greater Twin Cities Area, has performed very well considering the Covid pandemic environment.  Low mortgage rates and very low levels of inventory have created and sustained buyer demand which has increased market values for homeowners that have sold in 2020.  The last few weeks have seen a little bit of a seasonal slow down.  Affordability, especially for first time homebuyers, may be contributing to this as well.  We are not seeing the intense rush and number of multiple offers we saw this past summer.
